I'm not sure how this happened. Did I allow someone to come into my house or has it been dormant for years? For the past 5 months or some weird things have been happening in our house. It started one night when I was walking the dog when we were in our yard I felt as if someone was watching me. My dog immediately started growling and the hair on her back stood up. We ran into the house and that was that. None of my animals would come in our bedroom that night but sat and stared in our bedroom. The next night after dinner I heard my dogs barking and growling when I went to see what was going on they were barking at the corner ceiling in my bedroom. Later that night I was awoken by someone/something hitting my legs as if they wanted to wake me up. The next night it tapped my shoulders. Its shook my husbands shoulder as if it wanted him to wake up. His back was to the wall. I have to say that when I use the word hit- its not that is hurts. You definitely notice it and it has a stingy kinda of feel to it. My kids have seen shadows and my youngest one states that when he's playing X-box its as if someone is standing behind him breathing on his neck. We have heard running in the house, door handles jiggling, knocks on the walls, The knocks are an every night event. Doors opening and closing and even voices. I've left paper out to see if it would leave some sort of info but nothing. I told it if it was bad it had to go. However, its seem like it has gotten smart lately. My dogs usually sleep with us by nudging us and we lift up the cover and they jump in. Two night ago I called the dogs to come in to go to bed. One dog wouldn't come in the room and the other would come in look up on the bed and run out. She did this 4 times or so. Then I was awoken when I felt someone nudging my arm as if it were one of the dog wanted to get in to bed. When I looked up this little orb when went whooshing out by arm then up to the ceiling. Last night my husband states he was woken up in the middle of night because he heard rustling in the house. When he got into the kitchen it got freaked out because he saw his shadow in the window. He feel asleep for awhile when he awoken again when he looked over at the clock to see what time it was the digital clock and phone light died. He said he saw something like a big speck go floating by. My cat has been locked in the back room off our bedroom and we get up because we hear scratching at the door. A couple of nights ago I heard scratching at the door that is attached to a room off our bedroom. I was going to get up and let the cat out and the cat was on the sofa in the bedroom. It definitely knows us and knows to get our attention my mimicking the animals every now and then. Last night it really freaked me out when I finally got to bed which I have to say has been quit broken since this adventure has happened. It felt like someone jump on the bed by head. This morning my son came running into our bedroom at about 4am stating the banging on the walls are really loud. I have to say If anyone of us or someone even knocks on our door for real the dogs will bark wildly. They are very protective. But when we hear the knocking at night the dogs dont even notice. We have a digital recorder at home and we left it out to see what we would get and we heard knocking, the back room door open and close. I've heard voices but I cant download it to the computer to get rid of the white noise. At one point because they it was acting I thought it was kid so I asked if it wanted to play and I heard 'when". We have an old video cassette camcorder we have been setting out at night. We've caught the knocks and some specks floating erratically around but we also saw dust so we dismissed it. I cant get the light ing correct so we can see stuff. Its to dark. I'm thinking of keeping some dim lighting on so we can actually capture something. My 11 year old has been sleeping with us since this started and he states he sees a figure comes out of the back room. So far its been trying to get our attention all sorts of ways. Its a little un-nerving to say the least. I will say I believe in spirits and had experiences before but not like this. You just see an image but nothing ever interacted before. I'm trying to be open minded about it. I Our house fairly modern and new. We live in Vermont close to the Bennington Battle ground area. I haven't had much time to research about the area and don't know if its even related to that I do know that no one has died here. At this point I'm would like to know if there is any better way to try to catch this thing on camera or recorder. If I get something remotely I will send it in and see if anyone is interested in checking it out. It would like to know why it is so intent on getting our attention. Like I said this is an every night event and we are losing a lot of sleep. Even the animals are freaked out. Any insight?

I have one question are the paranormal activites getting stronger? If so you probably have a poltergeist or demon. If its not getting stronger or the activites are the same its probably just a normal average spirit trying to get some attention.

Hi- No, I dont think its getting stronger and it hasn't felt demonic. But it started up more suddenly out of no where and very active. I hate to say it but I feel naive about demonic spirits. I feel I need better equipment to see whats going on, I left digital recorder out the other night and told to let us know who and what it wants. It almost sounds like there more than one person. We heard alot of moving around. Knocks etc. Someone was stomping their feet around the bedroom. We heard something breath and make a groaning noise into the recorder then we heard a child like voice say'" I'm here". Then it sounded like someone was banging a drum and it was almost like the child like voice say some other stuff then it almost sounded like it got scolded by someone to stop. It might be a a family not sure. We almost felt at one point we heard a horse as if it were walking down a street. The digital recorded we have cant be downloaded to clean up the noise. We are going to purchase better one tonight and hopefully we'll be able to download it to clean up the white noise. At this point its part of daily lives we just want to know why it wants our attention so badly all of sudden. Im confused on the concept of a poltergeist. I thought it was caused by a person. Moving object etc. This doesn't move stuff it just makes alot of noise. If we cant get find out what it wants then we'll get inouch with proffesionals.

Sounds like this could be a few things! first and foremost this is a happy spirit! They are trying to get your attention in a playfull manor so i wouldnt feel threatened or think its evil because if it were a demon type entity you would know it! I would educate your children and let them know to simply communicate with them to respect your privacy. For example, Your son is in his room trying to sleep and hears a noise. Out loud state " Please leave my room! I dont mind if you stay here however this is my space and dont ever want you in here when im here!" 99% of the time they leave you alone! Trust me, sometimes it is the easiest solution in the world yet the most affective! I wouldnt run microphones or recorders if you want the activity to go away! This will invite them to stir it up and it could increase. We protect ourselves with the Saint Michael Prayer and suggest you do the same if you absolutly have to keep searching for answers, we are professionals and know what to say and when to say it! I think if it were my home and had unwelcome guests i probably wouldnt inform them to invite there friends and play with us because we are paying attention to them!! Ignore them! The more comfortable you are the less they will try, fear brings out more activity as they feed off it. Keep in mind as well if your home is haunted and you know that some of this is paranormal, there is alot going on in the home that is not as well. When you start to see or hear things happening you tend to be extra sensitive to every noice heard and assume its directly linked to the paranormal when a good half of it probably can be explained away or debunked! High EMF readings can also cause this so i would strongly recommend checking your microwave, alarm clocks or any other small appliances / electronics in the home expecially in the rooms where the activity seems the heaviest.They say animals see all! It is vety possible that the entity was an animal! I would pull a history background on the property and see if there were any deaths in the home, near the home or even if there was anything to do with anything with that property from day 1. We have a historian in our group and would be more then happy to help you out and provide piece of mind. Also you ahould research any deaths in the area then maybe it will give some hints if its a spirit or not.
